Karen Silver has been practicing family law exclusively for over 28 years. Ms. Silver has extensive experience preparing and litigating high conflict custody, large asset marital dissolution, and high income child support and spousal support cases. Her practice includes the negotiating, structuring and drafting of complex premarital, post-nuptial, and dissolution settlement agreements.

Ms. Silver was admitted to the California State Bar in December 1997. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in June 1997 and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California in May 1994. Throughout her career, Ms. Silver has established herself as a leading family law practitioner, earning recognition as a "Rising Star" and "Super Lawyer" by Los Angeles Magazine's Southern California's Super Lawyers, and in 2025 was named to Doyle's Guide Leading Family & Matrimonial Lawyers - Los Angeles. Beyond her practice, she has lectured to newly admitted lawyers on legal procedures and written family law articles for several parenting publications.

Ms. Silver is a Los Angeles native. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters, as well as reading, playing word games, going to the beach and volunteering for various philanthropies. Ms. Silver is a member of both the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association Family Law Executive Committees and regularly volunteers as a family law Daily Settlement officer for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Additionally, she serves as family law counsel to Los Angeles' largest synagogue, which institution includes several schools and camps.
